Very often people associate sh adow work with strictly "destroying" or "ridding" the darkness within. This is only a small fraction of what true shadow work entails.  Shadow work is also wielding and harnessing the darkness, unearthing the lost treasures and gifts, the lost and disowned self and fallen aspects of our consciousness that is waiting to be discovered and integrated. The soil awaits to be tended to – without tending to it healing and growth is anemic. Your lost treasure includes your Darkness. Darkness is just as important as the light, If not more Darkness doesn't mean negative, bad, evil.
