The Underworld Journey of the Menstrual Cycle

The womb is the most sacred space on earth. It is the portal between the microcosmic physical and the macrocosmic spiritual realms. Where the finite is entangled with the infinite. The feminine is the primary transporter of energy. The womb is the spark of life and creative energy. 

The feminine is harmonized with the rhythms of nature and oscillating energy of the moon that interacts with the electromagnetic fields within the body and are directly proportional to the descent/ascent, waxing/waning and life/death cycles. The menstrual cycle is one of the most sacred rituals and powerful tools on earth for evolution of consciousness, unlocking divine wisdom, psychic abilities, reclaiming and connecting back to the divine feminine and its potent energy and honoring mother earth.

Women average approximately 450 menstrual cycles over their lifetime. That's 450 opportunities for a woman to harness her most potent medicine and descend into the Underworld to stand in the inferno of alchemical transmutation to purify Thyself and ascend with expanded wisdom, awareness and gifts.

Unfortunately societal, generational and gender programming have led women away from honoring it and wielding its power as part of the suppression of the divine feminine. They were disconnected from rule of nature and their natural rhythms within that are synchronized with the natural rhythms without leaving a society of surface dwelling women from avoidance or fear of her descent into the Underworld bypassing her deepest power and most potent medicine within her own temple. 

Most women become stuck and stagnant within the dense pain body and residing. Ignoring the rhythmic patterns and knowledge within the body. Resisting it instead of aligning with it. Judging our premenstrual energy, emotions and mood as something bad and unnatural. Something that needs to be fixed or numbed. We then seek externally and wallow in misery instead of giving ourselves the safe space to allow the process to:

Reflect
Cleanse/Purge
Expand 
Integrate
Embody 

Reflection begins in the Luteal phase where we naturally retreat and turn inward. The process of Illuminating and allowing the hidden, suppressed, rejected and fragmented parts lodged within to come forth and to be with it in deep introspection instead of casting it back into the shadows. 

Followed by a cleansing, purging and detoxing phase beginning of menstruation of all that is not in alignment. Purging what needs to go. Burning off the old to make way for the ancient divine knowledge to be awakened, activated and integrated. 

And lastly, the expansion, integration, embodiment and creation of the new or awakened in the Follicular phase. 

Those who suffer with PMDD, endometriosis or PCOS this process can be beyond challenging and seem damn near impossible, but the more pain and misery, the deeper the healing of the psyche can occur. 

The feminine energies are knocking on the door and calling us to tune in, connect, elevate our consciousness, feminine power and Sovereignty. We typically don't answer the door. We keep it shut. Baracade it. Ignoring the call. Unaware of the power behind nature's rhythms that resides within. 

Follow the bodies wisdom. Lean into it. Surrender in a safe space or with those who honor the rhythms. Drop down into your pain body and every sensation that comes up no matter how chaotic or painful it feels. 

Allowing. 
Embracing. 
Releasing 

Divine feminine energy is ever evolving wisdom and intuition. She is the connection with all of creation, transcendence and birth of the new within and without. Connected with spirit, grounded by the earth.

It's already within us, tune in and reconnect with the rhythms of nature and the wisdom of the body. Not only do you heal and expand the self, feminine energy heals and elevates the collective by restoring the balance of the planet.
