Collective Hypnosis: The Plight of Critical Thinking in a Conformist Society
We live in a world where the majority lack the mental fortitude for critical thinking and the psychological capacity for disillusionment, unsettling truths of the nature of reality and the human condition. Where individuals have been hypnotized and conditioned to unquestioningly believe and accept whatever they are presented with, to obediently submit to authority, and to mindlessly conform to societal norms. They mistakenly perceive their own conditioned beliefs and perceptions as infallible truths. This inability to cope with disillusionment stems from an existential crisis. Facing the possibility that their entire reality may be a fabricated illusion strikes at the core of their identity. They are essentially evading a dark night of the soul at all costs, the period of extreme darkness, the death and rebirth necessary in our evolution of consciousness.
