The Shadow of the Maiden Archetype

The shadow of the maiden archetype is often the woman who grew up with the ultimate honorable and protective masculine role models. She had a very strong sense of external protection in childhood.

Often very feminine in her energy,
Soft, receptive, nurturing, warm.
Yet, still a little girl in the comfort of her role models protection.
She is simply naive.
Cut off from her own inner instincts.

She buried her natural inner instincts within her shadow in childhood at the comfort zone of external protection and safety. They lay dormant. Without her natural instincts, her intuition is offline.

She often views the world with rose tinted glasses and through lens of her childhood masculine protective role models.

She is naive to the real world and what monsters humans can be. She cannot fathom that there are sadistically disordered individuals out there. She's never experienced it nor seen it. She's always been protected. Always felt safe in all that she is. Safe to be feminine. Her masculine protectors were always to her rescue.

She is the ultimate target for predators
And she often learns the hard way.

She must enter the maidens shadow, and
learn how to integrate her inner animus to truly connect with her intuition and uncover the buried light aspects of shadow and her own inner protective instincts
